Coogee is known as a seaside suburb great for swimming and surfing, rather than for its shopping.
The main shopping roads in Coogee are Coogee Bay Rd and Arden St. On Coogee Bay Rd and Arden St are a number of restaurants and cafes as well Coogee Bay Village (cnr Coogee Bay Rd and Brook St), a small shopping centre with a supermarket, fast food outlets and a convenience store.
Popular along Coogee Bay Rd are newsagencies, florists, delis and little stores selling everything from souvenirs, jewellery and clothing.
