Sydney City WORLD CUP Football Fever
June 4, 2010
Are you a football fanatic? Are you the one that kicks your flatmates in the shins for calling rugby or AFL “football”, or calling football “soccer”? Then you’re going to LOVE Sydney this June and July! FIFA World Cup Fan Fest events will be taking over the city of Sydney from the 11th June – 12th July – and everything is free! Here’s a quick run down of some of the events:
LIVE PUBLIC BROADCASTS
3 massive screens will be floating on Cockle Bay, with a 4th mounted in Tumbalong park. Games will be broadcast live on the screens, and anyone can go! Take some mates and enjoy the games.
STREET SOCCER
Some of Australia’s best street soccer players will be taking to the pitch – on water! There’ll be a floating soccer pitch on Cockle Bay and, once again, it’s free to watch the games.
ENTERTAINMENT
If that wasn’t enough, the Fan Fest website assures us that there will be a “dynamic entertainment programme” to be announced. To keep up to date with what’s happening and when, check out the FIFA Fan Fest website:

Hello guys,I like your site and it looks very interesting and easy to read,really!. I am from Denmark. I love the Soccer and cannot wait till 11th June, can you?.But there is a problem camming from FIFA. It is that doesn´t choose the best teams in this planet for the World Cup which it should otherwise don´t call the World Cup a final, if you want to play football for the soul of competition then go to the olympics games. this is basically what the World Cup is turning to, and it su…, ire needed to beat brazil to be in and is not, jap beat lowly teams as bahrain, qatar, kuwait, to be in, is this justice I dont think so, just because you are in the World Cup it doesn´t mean that you have the quality to be in like jap can attes. Any way, I desire to watch a super final on 11th July and my favorite winner team is Italy,and my favorite player is Cristiano Ronaldo.Good blog and keep going.Cu!

Yesterday Netherlands won over Brazil and Uruguay beaten Ghana. Today, Germany won over Argentina and Spain won against Paraguay. Astonishing! And who will be the champion? Do you think Netherland.

Spain 1 Germany 0 – I personally was on the side of the germans, but at the end of the day spain played a superior game. If we can see another amazing performance from spain, if they can dazzle Holland in the same manner on Sunday we will have new world champions!
